Mahalo Meals 11.2021
Aloha Friends,
Thanks for your continued support, on November 23, 2021 Friends and KUPU partnered to present the 2nd Annual Thanksgiving Mahalo Meals for the Essential workers of our Kewalo/Kaka'ako community.
We handed out 134 free Hawaiian Plates consisting of imu cooked Kalua Pig, Ahi Poke, Squid Luau, Lomi Salmon, Chicken Long Rice, Hapa Rice, and Kulolo. All prepared by the KUPU culinary students in their imu and commercial kitchen, Friends contributed by supplying the ingredients and distribution.
Essential Workers included:
City & County Park Maintenance for Kewalo, Kaka'ako Waterfront, and Ala Moana Park
Honolulu Fire Department- Kaka'ako Station
Honolulu Police Department-Kaka'ako Beat
Lifeguards- Kewalo & Ala Moana Park
Emergency Medical Services- Kaka'ako area
Kewalo Harbor Master and staff
Kewalo Harbor Security
It is our way of showing our gratitude for these Essential Workers who make our lives so much safer, cleaner, and enjoyable!
