1. Victory for the People  The Ala Moana Park Resolution was passed unanimously by the City Council. This sends a strong message to the City administration to strongly consider and act on the People’s desires for Ala Moana Park. A big mahalo to the Council.
Malama Moana is having an informational gathering at Ala Moana Park Keyhole area on April 21@ 9:30am to 11:30 am. Come and learn more.

2. The new 2018 Kewalo Surf Contest Schedule has come out. Mahalo to Meghan Statts of Division of Boating and Ocean Recreation, Contest organizers and FOK for working together on this. May we all have a good and safe surf season with plentiful surf for all.
3. Net Shed Renovations On April 4, 2018 FOK participated the ground breaking ceremony to mark the start of the renovations for the KUPU Net Shed. It will be transformed into the Green Job Training Center to teach Hawaii’s youth important job and life skills. KUPU has assured us that they will provide parking for the Center so not be an imposition to the park parking.
