Big Mahalo! The Bill Had Died!

Updated: Jun 30, 2021

Aloha Friends,

Great News! At our Rally on Tuesday Speaker Scott Saiki

announced that the SB 1334 will not advance, which virtually means it has died. We are extremely grateful for his support.

A big Mahalo to everyone for your Aloha and support at the Capitol Rally. There was a special MANA present at the event. Chicken skin moments... Even for those who could not make it, we know you were there in spirit. Each one of us in our own way no matter how big or small contributed to this effort by sending in written testimony, testifying on Zoom, signing the Petition, calling or emailing your legislators, passing out fliers, and just talking to friends and neighbors. Truly, a grassroots effort again.

Power of the People

After 16 years of coming together as a community, we have been able to remain steadfast in our mission:

To Protect, Preserve, and Malama Kewalo Basin Park and the surrounding shoreline and ocean to ensure that the recreational user will continue to have access and the ability to enjoy the area for future generations to come.

  • No Residential development in Kaka'ako Makai

  • Protect urban Honolulu's last undeveloped coastline
